Sustainability Courses

Business Sustainability Management

Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership

LENGTH

8 weeks

PRICE

£2,200 (2023)

FORMAT

Online

MY TAKEAWAYS:

  • I did this course in one of its earlier editions (2019), and I really enjoyed it.

  • It was an intense couple of months but totally worth it and it gives you access to the Cambridge alumni network (which is great). You have the opportunity to connect with people from different industries and roles.

  • This is an excellent and very well-structured course with online discussion groups, exams/tests, and deliverables/assignments expected every week. It requires a significant time commitment and it can be challenging to do it when working full-time. It says it requires 8-12 hours per week (I spent a lot more time).

And the best thing is that the course has empowered some people to make a career change!

DID THIS COURSE HELP ME?

A few years after doing this course I conceptualized, pitched, develop, and launch a new Sustainability syndicated product for my company ((I work in market research) and an entirely new Practice Area dedicated to Sustainability.

Sustainability Communication Strategies Masterclass

London School of Economics

I looked into all the courses offered by the PR Academy and I spoke with Ann Pilkington, owner, and director of the PR Academy

MY TAKEAWAYS:

  • The PR Academy offers a broad range of accredited PR and Communications qualifications accredited by The Chartered Institute Of Public Relations

  • This is a wonderful brand-new course that can be ideal for professionals working in PR, corporate communication, marketing communication, internal communication, public affairs, or media relations, who want to learn more about how to advise on sustainability communication with confidence. The price is £2,043 (with easy installments available)

  • Not the best option for me though. I have sustainability knowledge and I want to learn about PR and communications.

  • After discussing other options with Ann and trying the free course Introduction to Public Relations that they offer, I decided to enroll in the CIPR Professional PR Diploma. which covers all things related to PR (including some sustainability). It is entirely online, the price is £2,729.80, it is a Master’s level course with 3 assignments, the time to complete is 10-24 months (you do it at your own pace) and it can be paid in easy installments (which is what I did) with an initial payment of £529.80 and then ten monthly payments of £220.
